On this page you will find all the useful information regarding emergency services, medical centers and general practice centers.
Emergency numbers
In case of emergency, you can dial the emergency number 112. You will be asked whether you need the police, fire department or an ambulance.
In case there is no emergency, but you do want to talk to the police, dial 0900-8844. Using a non-dutch phone, this would be 0031 343 57 8844.
Urgent care
In case of urgent medical issues, you can turn to two different hospitals: the Radboud UMC, Geert Groteplein 10, phone number 024-361 4187, or the Canisius Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis (CWZ) located on the Weg door Jonkerbos 100 in Nijmegen, reacheable on 024-3365 7657.
Emergency dentist
There is also an emergency dentist in case you need urgent care. The practice is located on the Weg door Jonkerbos 106 and reachable by phone on 0900 – 8276456.
General practice centre
If you need a general practitioner outside of opening hours, you turn to the General Practice Centre. You do need to call before showing up. Nijmegen has one GP Centre, located on the Weg door het Jonkerbos 108, phone number is 0900-8880.
Municipality
When you want to talk to the municipality, to make an appointment or for instance report nuisances or parking problems, you can do so by calling 14 024. For non-dutch phones, this would be 0031 24 329 90 00.
